LuK Clutch Pressure Plate
Strength and precision in the smallest of spaces
Product description:
The clutch pressure plate, together with the flywheel and the clutch disc, form a friction system and is mounted to the flywheel via the bolts of the housing. It employs a release system to interrupt and reconnect the flow of power from the engine to the transmission. The clutch pressure plate consists of the following components – the clutch housing, pressure plate, diaphragm spring and tangential leaf spring.
During engagement, diaphragm spring force is applied to the pressure plate, which pushes its frictional surface against the clutch disc, whose frictional surface is in contact with the flywheel. During disengagement, the diaphragm spring undergoes deformation in such a way that the tangential leaf spring is able to lift the pressure plate off the clutch disc.
Benefits:
- Weight optimized
- Long service life
- 100% proven quality
- Less overall height
- Low release loads
- Suitable for high engine speeds
